It is know that the energy and the involvement at Lily Dale are very different in away, you can feel it when you just arriving.
The Town was associated with the Spiritualist movement when famous sisters mediums Kate and Margaret Fox moved there in 1916. Some claim the location is on a spirit portal or on an energy grid line. ever since Lily Dale is a place of pilgrimage for many Spiritualists and others interested in the paranormal. A large population of mediums and Spiritualist healers moved to Lily Dale.
The ironic aspect of the story is that the Fox sisters admitted that they faked their abilities with tricks and illusions, and rejected the Spiritualist movement. It seems like the economic profit, faith, and ability to encourage and assist mourners mental health keep the community together.
