Scotland’s Fairy Pool 6

Fairy Pools is located in Cuillins Hills, Isle of Skye, Scotland. They are a series of

clear, cold pools and waterfalls formed as Allt Coir’ a’ Mhadaidh tumbles down

from the foothills of the Black Cuillins into Glen Brittle.

Park at the Forestry car park and follow the signposted path opposite the parking

area. To reach the pools take the right fork on the path after a hundred yards or

so, and follow the trail for about 10 minutes to where the ground rises in a small

The location of the Pools beneath the looming bulk of the Cuillins is wonderful,

and the drama of the waterfalls and the sinuous beauty of the rock formations

carved by the falling water give the Fairy Pools a magical feel.

I’m not an idiot. The first picture (although I don’t know about the others) is from shotover river in new zeland, it’s just been photoshopped

Don’t be an ass. I am a landscape photographer LIVING on Skye and that “purple trees” one is a fake. It is not from the Fairy Pools at Glenbrittle on Skye. Quite obviously it is a manipulated photo of the Shotover River in NZ as has clearly been shown. Stop making false claims that will only serve to disappoint people who go somewhere and then cannot find your fake location. The Fairy Pools on Skye are amazing in their own right but are definitely not like that gaudy purple Shotover image.
